Service work:

A way members can build self-esteem and self worth even in the mitts of chaos and degradation.

Journaling:

An exercise that helps members to express themselves safely and clear the mind.

Prayer:

An exercise in faith, trust and letting go (of control) so members may become Happy, Joyance and Free.

Meditation:

An exercise in quieting the mind and body so members may mend their broken spirit.

Acceptance:

A way members let people, places and things be the way they are; without trying to change the outcomes.

Gratitude:

An exercise in focusing on what is good rather than on what is not the way we want.

 

 

 

 

Best thoughts and efforts have not worked. What works for others?

 

 

 

Meetings:

Were members find out that they are not alone, that others have issues similar to theirs. Where they may share their experience, strength and hope freely without fear.

Literature:

A way members may get experience, strength and hope from other members when a meeting is not available.

Sponsorship:

A two way relationship between members, helping each other find their way through the program and  through life, by sharing their experience, strength and hope with one another.

Steps:

A guide for individual members; to help them learn and grow with-in themselves.

Traditions:

A guide for relating to other groups and Al-Anon as a whole.

Slogans:

Simple sayings that help members act and not re-act in times of crisis.

with help from someone who already uses them,
